Works around Plot 9 (De Oosterlingen), Isaac Titsinghkade and Van Reedestraat
We would like to inform you about the upcoming works as part of the Oostenburg redevelopment project. Construction of De Oosterlingen (Plot 9) is nearly complete. As a result, works in the surrounding area will begin shortly. This notice provides information about the planned activities and schedule.
What work will be carried out and where?
We will be installing utility services and completing the public space around the residential building De Oosterlingen. The works include:
- Removal of the temporary road and paving around Plot 9.
- Removal of the pavement along the frontage of Plot 8 (apartment building Werf Acht). Building entrances will remain accessible on foot.
- Removal of the carriageway surface on Isaac Titsinghkade between Plots 8 and 9.
- Installation of cables and utility services in phases.
- Reinstatement of the pavement along Plot 8 and the carriageway on Isaac Titsinghkade.
- Construction and landscaping of the public space around Plot 9 and between Plots 11A and 9. Entrances to Plot 11A will remain accessible on foot.
We understand that these works may cause some inconvenience. We will do our utmost to keep disruption to a minimum.
Schedule
The works will be carried out in several phases. The maps attached to this letter show where and when each phase will take place, including any diversion routes.
Phase 1 – Around Plot 9 (De Oosterlingen)
What will we do?
We will remove the temporary paving, install cables and utility services, and create a temporary street and public space layout.
When?
5 June to 17 July and 10 August to 18 December.
Access
- Cars, cyclists and pedestrians can pass the work area.
Phase 2 – Pavement alongside Plot 8 (Apartment Building Werf Acht)
What will we do?
We will remove the pavement surface, install cables and utility services, and reinstate the pavement. The carriageway between Plots 8 and 9 will be closed during these works.
When?
6 July to 17 July.
Access
- Pedestrians can pass the work area.
- Homes will remain accessible on foot.
- From 6 July to 17 July, a diversion route will be in place for construction traffic, cars and cyclists travelling to Plot 11, as well as for access to the parking garage ‘The Hubb’. The diversion route will be via Van Reedestraat, Oostenburgermiddenstraat and Willem Theunisse Blokstraat.
Phase 3 – Isaac Titsinghkade Carriageway between Plots 8 and 9
What will we do?
We will remove the road surface, install property service connections, and reinstate the carriageway. The carriageway between Plots 8 and 9 will be closed during these works.
When?
17 August to 4 September.
Access
- Pedestrians can pass the work area.
- Homes will remain accessible on foot.
- From 17 August to 4 September, a diversion route will be in place for construction traffic, cars and cyclists travelling to Plot 11, as well as for access to the parking garage ‘The Hubb’. The diversion route will be via Van Reedestraat, Oostenburgermiddenstraat and Willem Theunisse Blokstraat.
Phase 4 – Pavement alongside Plot 8 (Apartment Building Werf Acht)
What will we do?
We will relay the pavement along the frontage of Plot 8.
When?
28 September to 9 October.
Access
- Cars, cyclists and pedestrians can pass the work area.
- Homes on Isaac Titsinghkade will remain accessible.
- Entrances to Plot 8 will remain accessible via temporary pedestrian walkways.
To carry out these works safely and efficiently, it is important that the pavement is kept clear. We therefore kindly ask you to remove any personal belongings from the area before Monday 28 September.
Phase 5 – Pavement alongside Plot 11A (Rumphiusstraat)
What will we do?
We will remove the temporary paving and reconstruct the street and public space.
When?
12 October to 27 November.
Access
- Pedestrians can pass the work area.
- Homes on Rumphiusstraat will remain accessible.
- Entrances to Plot 11A will remain accessible via temporary pedestrian walkways.
General Information
- Works will take place on weekdays between 09:00 and 16:00.
- Roadworks and public space works will be carried out by Reimert.
- Installation of cables and utility services will be carried out by Van den Heuvel and Hanab.
- All works around Plot 9 are expected to be completed by Friday 18 December.
